Psyon Chess Junior Club, Bromley — Beginners
Wednesdays 5–6pm
The beginners’ session at Bromley, the first of the two run on a Wednesday afternoon. Children who are new to the game, or who know how the pieces move and little more, start here.
Sessions combine a structured curriculum with group coaching on a large screen, interactive puzzles, tactical themes, common checkmate patterns, opening principles and practice games, so a child learns something new and then plays it straight away. There are regular competitions and junior-only tournaments too.
The club runs largely during school term dates.

My son has been attending Psyon Chess for some time now and absolutely loves it. He looks forward to every session and has made great progress, both in his chess skills and his confidence.
Satish is a great teacher and explains things in a way that keeps the children interested and engaged. I really like the balance between learning new skills and having the chance to play against other children.
