Chess tournaments, and clubs for adults and children

Psyon Chess conducts FIDE and ECF-rated tournaments across southern England (Cambridge, Oxford, Greater London, Kent, East Kent and Hampshire), weekly chess clubs in Chislehurst and West Wickham, and after-school clubs in Bromley — all run professionally by an internationally accredited chess arbiter and coach.

What Psyon Chess runs

  • Junior clubs

    • Thursdays 6.30–7.30pm, Chislehurst
    • Wednesdays 5–6pm, West Wickham
    • Wednesdays 6.15–7.15pm, West Wickham

    Beginners and improvers up to an ECF standard rating of 1200. Every session combines a structured curriculum with interactive puzzles, tactics and practice games to reinforce the learning.

  • Adult club

    • Thursdays 7.45–10pm, Chislehurst

    Thursday evenings through the league season, at the club's home in Chislehurst. Any strength, from a casual game to rated league chess.

  • Congresses

    • After-school clubs in primary schools around Bromley

    Psyon Chess currently delivers after-school chess clubs in a few primary schools. Schools around Bromley who would like to start one are welcome to enquire.
